Hey Soul Sista...

OK....I am gonna just say it.  I love pop music.  It is one of my guilty pleasures....it makes me happy.  The cheezier the better these days. Which is a good thing at the moment because one of Ella Mae's favorite songs right now is "Hey Soul Sister" by Train and   every time we get into the car she wants me to blast it as loud as it will go.  "Louder!! Louder please!" she yells at me from the back.  It is all worth it though when I look in  my rear view to see her fist-pumping both hands to the sky with her hair blowing in the breeze...moving her lips to the words that she thinks she knows...sometimes she even has her eyes closed...and even the Doobers will chime in with the occasional line or two.  We pulled up next to a biker at a stop light yesterday on our way home from hippy-daycare...windows down, blaring the song....me and Ella Mae singing at the top of our lungs.  He looked over at us and smiled...chuckled  really.  We don't always get the chuckle....sometimes we get a little bit of the crazy...but that's OK...we are a  little bit crazy!  Especially when Ruby Doobs comes home from hippy-daycare lookin' like this.........

They  have fun up there..there is no denying it...and there is no denying she is rockin' it!  She is all over the place in the house now...pure awesomeness!  She even crawled up some stairs at a friends house yesterday.  I have a feeling she is getting her dare devil attitude from her "Soul Sista" who can't seem to keep her feet on the ground.  All I can say is "look out world!"....these lil' ladies are comin' through to shake (or dance) it up!  Soo....maybe roll down those windows a little today, crank some tunes and sing at the top of your lungs.  It feels pretty darn good...

                                              Rock on Peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect Easter Sunday...

Well..sort of.  To the un-trained  eye it may not appear so. Let me explain... It all started out on Friday, I had the day off with my lil' ladies, breakfast as usual, Doobs had some therapy. She was a little grumpy during therapy, but this new OT comes in and is all business.  The Rubinator sees her and immediately knows she is in for a workout.  She is going to have to work. Hard.  So it was not unusual for her to be a bit grumpers during her session.  I mean, the girl gets sweaty....so I put her down shortly after session for a nap.  During her nap we did a little "culde crew" Easter egg dye and hunt.  Those who aren't familiar with the "culde crew"...we are a pack of crazy people and their children who live in a culde-sac, let our children run around like a pack of wolves, or maybe I should say a school of fish....a very tight school of fish.  We borrow cups of milk(or wine), send kiddos over to play if we need a break, and enjoy holiday fun together.  We did our annual dying of the eggs that afternoon....

Ella Mae's stash...

I just had to sneak this one in there.....ridiculous!!!

Ella Mae 'on the hunt'

Culde Crew say CHEEEEEZZZZZ!!!

Then of course we hid them and they ran around like a pack of wolves..I mean..school of fish...to find them. Ruby Doobs woke up somewhere in between the dying and the hunt, so I went in to get her and she was a  bit warm, but not too warm....and grumpers.  For anyone that doesn't have the pleasure of knowing our lil Doobers...grumpy is certainly not a word used to describe her (unless you are her OT working her out like it was P90-X).  Anywho...things went a bit down hill from there and long story short....we ended up back in the  'pokey'...I mean...hospital.  Sometimes kiddos like Doobs have trouble breathing through respiratory viruses because of the lower core muscle tone so it can lead to infection pretty fast....and that's what happened.  One minute she is doing P90-X with her OT..and the next she is like a ragdoll because she isn't getting enough oxygen in her blood.  Needless to say.... our Easter weekend plans quickly changed.  But you know what??  It was still the perfect Easter Sunday... they weren't dressed up in the cute matching Easter outfits G-ma got them..there wasn't any chocolate involved...no big Easter egg hunt...I don't even think Ella Mae knew it was Easter...but that's ok...she got something more important back today....

The joy these lil' ladies bring into this world.....RIDICULOUS!!!  So...Happy Pretty Perfect Easter Sunday Ya'll!!  Just like our lil lady...pretty darn perfect!!
