Sunday Funday...

Here is a typical Sunday in the life of a family who has a "little" with Down syndrome.....

We get up, we eat breakfast, we spend time with each other....we work on crawling...we eat some more...we nap ( well..I wish we all napped..but just Doobs does)...daddy mows the lawn....mommy decides to do a workout video that she may regret doing in the morning....we go for a walk around the block with Ruby in her wagon, Ella Mae walking Nanners, and mommy hobbling after her workout video....we grill out for dinner with lots of swinging and trampolining....

Sounds like a fabulously normal, wonderful Sunday...doesn't it??  For the most part, our lives are fabulously normal every day (I did not say that we were fabulously normal :))....and our lil' lady is more like a "normal" pip-squeak than not...and who is the person that decides "normal" anyway?   I am guessing that person is extremely boring...I guess my point is...next time you see someone you may not consider "normal"...take a few moments to stop and say "hi"...chat for a few minutes...see how their day is going....you won't be sorry you did.....and I promise you...your fabulously "normal" day...will turn into a fabulously amazing one :)

Only 17 more days until World Down Syndrome Day....seventeen more fabulous days to share with the world just how stinkin' cool our lil lady is...and make peeps more aware of how capable, loving and inspiring they all are!!  See the wonderfulness in all our rockin' chromosomes :)
